Absolutely, as soon as you complete your order our online ordering system will generate & then send an automatic order confirmation email that will include all relevant details of your order such as items that you’ve ordered, billing & shipping details, etc.
I haven’t received my order confirmation email – what should I do?
From time to time, an order confirmation email may go into a customer’s junk/spam folder. So we always recommend that you keep an eye out for this email notification in the unlikely event of it ending up in one of those folders and not being received directly to your inbox. If you cannot find your order confirmation email or believe that you haven’t received it, just drop us an email at info@islesofaran.com and we’ll be able to confirm if your order has been successfully made within our system.
Shipping & Delivery
How long will it take to receive my order?
On average your order will be shipping the day after you process your order and depending on where you live, it can take from 3 to 5 working days to get to you. You will be kept fully informed of the status of your order and will be able to see your order status via our email notifications.
What shipping options do you offer?
We use the shipping courier services of An Post to deliver our Isles of Aran knitwear direct to your door. While we do offer a flat rate of shipping we also know that sometimes our customers will want to only buy a small item such as a cap or scarf so we’re delighted to offer a lower rate of shipping for these items.
How can I track my order?
As soon as your Isles of Aran order has been shipped & picked up by our courier, you will receive an email from us which will confirm that your order has left our warehouse and this email will contain your tracking no. Our courier, An Post, will also then send you an email containing your tracking no. along with specific instructions on how you can track every step of your shipment until it reaches your front door.
I haven’t received my tracking details – what should I do?
If you have not received a tracking no. after you’ve been informed that your Isles of Aran order has shipped, please drop us an email at info@islesofaran.com and we’ll be more than happy to help.
Do you offer international shipping?
Yes, we absolutely do! Using the world-class courier services of An Postmeans we can ship to all four corners of the globe. In fact, the majority of the orders that we receive on IslesofAran.com are from outside of Ireland so our dedicated customer service & warehouse teams are highly experienced in shipping international orders without any hassle.
Will I have to pay customs duties or taxes on my order?

While your online total reflects the exact price of your selected products, please note that international shipping may involve additional customs fees that are typically calculated based on package weight and volume.

Returns, Refunds & Exchanges
What is your return policy?
Our customer-first 30 days return policy is designed to give you total confidence and peace of mind with every single purchase.
Simply return your Isles 0f Aran product in its original, unworn condition with tags attached and we'll promptly process either a full refund or a perfect exchange. No stress, no complications.
How do I initiate a return?
Really easy & hassle-free – just drop us an email customerservice@islesofaran.com with your order number included within the subject line and our dedicated Customer Care Team will take it from there.
In the unlikely event of you receiving a damaged item or an incorrect item, please contact us immediately (at least within 24 hours) and we’ll contact you to rectify the situation.
Do you offer exchanges if the item doesn’t fit?
Yes, we are happy to provide an exchange service if you feel the item does not fit. We do require that the item still has the original labels attached and insist that the item has not been worn. If you meet these requirements then please contact us to begin the process of returning the item. When you have returned the item to us, we will then arrange for a new item to be sent to you. Please note that unless you have been sent the incorrect size due to an error on our part, then you will be responsible for paying the return shipping costs & for shipping the new item.
How long does it take to process a refund?
We do our absolute best to process all customer refunds as quickly as possible upon receipt of your returned item. But you can definitely expect a refund to happen within 5 to 7 working days while during busy periods it can on rare occasions extend to 14 days.
What if I receive a faulty or damaged item?
In the unlikely event of you receiving a faulty or damaged item, please get in touch with us immediately (at least within 24 hours) at: customerservice@islesofaran.com and we'll contact you to rectify the situation.

How do I find the right size?
To make it easy for you find the right size for you or for the person you are buying for, we have provided an individual size guide for each garment that is featured on IslesofAran.com - a really easy way to work out an accurate size is to measure the width of the chest and the length of the back and use these measurements as your guide.
Also, as wool is a natural fibre there is a strong element of flexibility within our knitwear so if your garment feels a little tight at first, you can give it a gentle stretch to loosen the fibres without causing the garment to lose it's shape.

What materials do you use in your knitwear?
We use wool in the crafting of our knitwear - in most case we use 100% merino wool, soft merino wool or super soft merino wool. Each product description will inform you of the type of wool that is used along with any additional information on features such as buttons or zipper pulls.
How do I care for my Aran wool knitwear?
Hand washing your Aran sweater is simple and helps keep it looking its best. Just soak it in clean, lukewarm water with a mild wool-friendly detergent for about 10 minutes. Then, rinse gently – first in lukewarm water, followed by a final rinse in cold water. For added convenience, our knitwear can also be dry cleaned.
Will my knitwear stretch over time?
Keeping your Isles Of Aran knitwear in great shape requires very little effort. To help it last a lifetime, simply store it in the box it came in and fold it loosely to maintain its natural shape. For extra protection, adding a little dried lavender is an easy way to keep moths away.
